Being philanthropic has never been classier – welcome to The Frocktail Party! Boasting 6 years in the running as an event to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the original 2009 committee began the event in an effort to support a family friend with Type 1 Diabetes.
The Frocktail Party serves a dual function of both raising funds for medical research, but also allowing attendees the chance to pick up a fabulous item from their favorite designer. And if shopping isn’t exactly your thing, what better way to spend the night than to party with your friends over fabuous h’ors d’oeuvres and drinks?
We attended the event on behalf of an exclusive invite from NARCES and couldn’t help but stop by their portion of the silent auction to see which beautiful dresses they had up for bidding! Perfectly in line with the holidays, they had a selection of beautifully tailored dresses adorned with lace applique that’ll be sure to make you the bell of the ball for New Year’s!
And for those of you who want to attend the event but arent’ super interested in bringing home some new pieces of clothes, don’t worry, the organizers didn’t forget about you! Walking around the corner of the displays was a secretly hidden room with only a single placard on a stand with the words “#SWAGSUITE”. Walking into the room was like walking into a vault filled with a mountain of beauty products. To get in on the fun, all the attendees had to do was purchase a bag for $25 (it’s all for a good cause!) and then fill it up to their hearts content with all of the goodies that they watnted. We scoped out some Waxon Bar “i love my muff fresh” packages as well as hair care products and some pressed juice!
It’s safe to say that after divulging in some fun at the CND nail bar (those estheticians are mighty talented), and checking out some of the wares available for auction, Frocktail Party was a blast! We can’t wait to find out how much they raised by the end of the night and congratulate them on a party well done!
